On Sunday, 10 August, the charity Imran Khan Cancer Appeal took to the field against one of the most prestigious cricket teams in the world, the Oxford University Cricket Club.
This fixture was far more than a contest between bat and ball; it was a tribute match in aid of the Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA), raising much-needed funds for the construction of the third Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Karachi, scheduled to open its doors next year.

While the scoreboard may not have reflected a win in our favour, this match was never solely about runs or wickets. The real victory lay in the memories created, the bonds forged, and the shared dedication to a cause that impacts so many lives.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Oxford University Cricket Club for their warm welcome and exceptional hospitality. To play on such a historic ground, one that has hosted cricketing legends including Imran Khan, Sir Viv Richards, and Kevin Pietersen, was a privilege and an inspiration.
For those who wish to contribute, there is still time before the fundraiser draws to a close. Every donation, whether large or small, will bring us closer to a future in which no one must face cancer alone.
Please donate generously and help us spread the word. Together, let us bowl cancer all out.
