Tazza Kitchen delivers for judges and wins the ‘Best Takeaway’ at Bradford Curry Awards.

Tazza Kitchen, a takeaway situated at the Thornbury Centre in Bradford, just entered the list of honours, winning the ‘Best Takeaway’ at the Bradford Curry Awards 2023.

Running for the past six years, Tazza Kitchen was nominated for the title along with Ambala, Karahi & Handi, Shalamar, Shimlas.

Tazeem Sawaiz, who runs Tazza Kitchen, after winning the award, said, “I am absolutely elated. I was not expecting it, to be honest with you. There was a lot of competition, so it is excellent. We are very happy.

“This recognition means quite a lot for us. People know that your food is good, and I just feel like the hard work is paid off, it is very important.”

When asked, what are her future plans after winning the award, she says, “We are looking at expanding and hire more staff, because we know that after the award, there’s going to be a lot more people coming into us, so we have to make sure we can accommodate that.”

Currently, Tazeem has six staff members working across her two sites at the Thornbury centre and the Sunday market at Canon Mills.

Giving out a message to her team at Tazza Kitchen, Tazeem says, “To my staff and the team, I congratulate them all. For me, it is not my effort alone. It was a team effort, without them it was not going to be possible to do a business, let alone winning an award. So, I told my team that, it is a joint effort, and I will take my team out for a meal as well.

Rated 4.8 on 5 on Google, Tazeem has a message for her customers, she says, “It is a reinforcement of the fact that. We have achieved this through hard work and dedication. So, a big thank you to my customers, who voted for me. I am what I am because of them, without my customers I would be nothing. Customer is always king.”
