Several recipients from Kirklees and Huddersfield have been recognised for their dedication to public service, care and community wellbeing.
From the South Asian community the honours list includes Huddersfield’s, Fatima Ahmad, who has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to foster care through Kirklees Council, recognising years of commitment to supporting vulnerable children and families.
The honours reflect the vital but often unseen work carried out daily across Kirklees from safeguarding children to supporting frontline policing and highlight the region’s strong tradition of public service.
