Plans to convert former garage into distribution centre submitted to Bradford Council

Proposals to convert a garage on a main road into a storage and distribution facility for a local business have been submitted to Bradford Council.

The former ATS unit at the junction of Listerhills Road and Thornton Road is the subject on a change of use application by 2K Solutions Limited.

The garage has been shut since May, and new signage for local fashion retailer Janan has since appeared on the building.

The change of use application does not give any details of the future occupier, but says the development will create five full time jobs.

As well as the change of use, the application also seeks permission for an extension to the building.

A decision on the application is expected next month.

This area of Thornton Road is undergoing some major changes. The garage building is next to a recently opened Starbucks, and the soon to launch Bradford Energy Centre.

A new escape room business is opening just a short distance away, and an 80 seat burger restaurant called Humbeys is due to open opposite the building in the coming months.
