Police are appealing for the public’s help to locate two missing boys, aged just 12 and 15, amid growing concern for their welfare.

Yousaf, 15, and Mohammed, 12, both from Kirklees, were last seen in the Liversedge area of West Yorkshire on Saturday, 24 October.

Officers are carrying out enquiries to establish their whereabouts and believe the boys may have links to Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

The appeal has prompted a call for residents across Kirklees, Liversedge and Rochdale to remain vigilant and report any information that could help police locate them.

Descriptions of the missing boys

Yousaf, aged 15, is described as approximately 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build, with short black hair and black facial hair.

Mohammed, aged 12, is approximately 4ft 9ins tall, of slim build, with short black hair and glasses.

Police have not disclosed further details about the circumstances of their disappearance but have confirmed that there are concerns for their welfare.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen either boy since Saturday or who has information about their possible whereabouts.

Public urged to help

West Yorkshire Police are asking anyone with information, however small it may seem, to come forward.

Anyone who has seen Yousaf or Mohammed, or who knows where they might be, should contact police in Kirklees by calling 101 or using the West Yorkshire Police online Live Chat service.

Those providing information should quote police log references 1454 and 1492 of 24 October.

Members of the public are also encouraged to share the appeal, particularly within communities in Kirklees and Rochdale, to help ensure it reaches anyone who may have information.

The priority remains locating both boys and ensuring their safety.
