Nazim Ali from Manningham, Bradford, has been shortlisted for the Positive Role Model: Race, Faith, or Religion Award at the 2024 National Diversity Awards in association with HSBC UK. This recognition comes after a rigorous selection process from over 90,000 nominees, highlighting his exceptional dedication to advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Nazim Ali has been acknowledged for his tireless efforts in community service, charity work, and humanitarian aid both locally and internationally. Over the past 12 years, he has raised nearly £950,000 for various charitable causes and is nearing the remarkable milestone of £1 million through his Nazim Ali Foundation.
One of his significant initiatives includes the weekly ‘Khidma Community Kitchen at the Millan Centre in Manningham, Bradford’, sponsored by Bradford-based Saveco Cash & Carry. Since its inception in February 2024, this initiative has provided over 3,000 warm, two-course meals to individuals in need across the Bradford District, regardless of faith or ethnicity.
Additionally, Nazim runs the ‘Creating Smiles Gifts Initiative’, delivering gifts to children in hospitals such as Bradford Royal Infirmary and Airedale Hospital Children’s Wards. Supported by Saveco Cash & Carry, this initiative has brought joy to numerous young patients through 42 visits to date.
In July 2023, Nazim Ali was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Bradford in recognition of his selfless contributions to society.

The winners of the National Diversity Awards will be announced on 4 October, 2024, at the prestigious 13th ceremony held at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. Hosted for the second consecutive year by Clare Balding, CBE, the event celebrates individuals, organisations, and charities dedicated to fostering inclusive communities across the UK.
