Seara celebrates international influence with diverse range of chicken products

Seara, one of the leading frozen chicken producers internationally, is continually diversifying its product portfolio to meet the varied needs of the international markets in which it operates.

In the UK, nearly 10% of the population are of Asian ethnicity, significantly impacting consumer preferences and culinary trends. This influence is evident in Seara’s Asian-inspired range of Karaage chicken, which is a noteworthy addition to their comprehensive portfolio, which also includes chicken dippers and chicken wings available in plain roasted, hot and spicy, and BBQ flavour. This fully cooked range minimises preparation time, providing a convenient and accessible solution to customers without compromising on quality or taste.

Seara takes pride in celebrating different cultures and food traditions as a means of bringing people together. With over 95,000 employees, they have made it their mission to become cuisine specialists in the areas they operate in, whether in Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle East, or Africa. Seara has committed to providing Halal products for its Muslim customers, operating with Halal certification 100% of the time as monitored by Halal supervisors from third-party companies. Seara has garnered Halal approval from several international authorities including The Gulf Accreditation Center, Saudi SFDA Halal Centre and JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia).

Seara produces and supplies whole poultry, chicken cuts, and ready-to-eat cooked products, both whole muscle and formed in all kinds of coatings, to some of the most successful and popular food service outlets globally, from large companies to family-run food businesses.

As the first Brazilian company to export to Europe, Seara has established itself as a key player in the UK’s culinary landscape, with a dedicated UK office branch serving the local market. The company’s European footprint has expanded over the years, with eight poultry-processing plants approved for export to the UK and Europe. This has enabled Seara to build strong relationships with a wide range of customers across food service, wholesale, and the broader industry in the UK.

Seara’s continues to play a vital role in the British frozen food industry, providing high value and nutritionally dense products for the British public. The British Frozen Food Federation has recorded a sustained increase in demand for savoury frozen food products in the UK this year, increasing by 3.1%, in the first quarter of 2024 – a demand which Seara is catering for. Seara has sponsored the BFFF’s annual luncheon and its annual awards over the last year, celebrating the best of British frozen food. The awards held just last month were particularly significant following the 75th anniversary of the Federation.

Earlier this year, Seara was also honoured to participate in the International Food and Drink Event (IFE) in London. This put Seara’s commitment to delivering premium chicken products at competitive prices under the spotlight and provided an enticing array of choices for industry professionals, wholesalers, and food service operators that were in attendance.

Alexandre Mattos, representing Seara Meats in Europe, said: “ . We strive to be cuisine specialists wherever we operate, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed the expectations of our consumers. Seara is excited to continue building strong relationships with our partners in the food service, wholesale, and wider industry, and to contribute to the growing demand for nutritionally dense and high-value frozen food products in the UK.”

Seara looks forward to continuing to connect with industry professionals, wholesalers, food service operators, and experts for engaging discussions and product demonstrations at upcoming events.
