A West Yorkshire law firm has contributed £2,500 to a series of charitable initiatives during Ramadan, supporting causes both locally and overseas.
Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors confirmed the funding has been distributed across a number of projects linked to the holy month, alongside hosting its annual Iftar at its Leeds office earlier this month.

The event, held on 5 March, brought together staff from across the firm’s eight regional offices to break the fast at sunset. Open to colleagues of all faiths, the gathering also saw some non-Muslim staff take part in fasting for the day in a show of solidarity.
The firm’s Ramadan activity forms part of a wider programme of charitable work led by partner Asma Iqbal, who has coordinated several initiatives during the month.
Earlier this year, the firm supported a humanitarian deployment to Jordan, where volunteers visited refugee camps housing Syrian and Palestinian families. The visit included the distribution of food, clothing and financial aid, as well as support for an education centre providing free schooling for children in the camps. Fundraising linked to the trip exceeded £22,000.

In addition, the firm has continued its support for The Citizens Foundation, a UK-based charity focused on improving access to education for children in underprivileged communities in Pakistan. Funding is expected to contribute towards learning resources and school provision.
A further contribution has been made towards a Bradford-based “Surgeons of Gaza” initiative, which helps fund medical support for refugees requiring urgent care.
Speaking about the efforts, Asma Iqbal said Ramadan provided an opportunity to focus on community and charitable giving, adding that the firm aimed to support initiatives with a direct impact on vulnerable groups.
Chadwick Lawrence has previously used its annual Iftar events to raise funds for humanitarian causes, including emergency relief efforts following the Turkey and Syria earthquake in 2023.
