Public order conditions set for Palestine Solidarity Campaign rally

A policing operation will take place this evening covering a protest organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC).

The PSC will be holding an emergency rally opposite Downing Street from 6pm tonight.

The Met police have placed conditions on the protest to minimise the disruption to the public in the Whitehall area.

Chief Superintendent Clair Haynes said: “This protest was called at short notice, but we have engaged with the organisers to ensure we strike the balance between minimising the disruption to the public, businesses and community groups with the right to peacefully protest.”

Any person participating in the Hands Off Gaza: Emergency Protest taking place at 6pm on Wednesday 11 September, opposite Downing Street must remain within the area shaded in red on attached map, and disperse by 8pm.
