A new study has identified Bradford as the city with the eighth-best opportunities for graduates.
The study evaluates the number and costs of one-bedroom rentals, average salaries, entry-level job opportunities, and the availability and ratings of bars and restaurants in the area.
A final score out of 100 is then calculated based on these factors.
Many people may feel unsure about what to do after graduating and where to go to make the most of their degrees. This study aims to help graduates determine the places with the most opportunities.
Coventry is the top city for graduates, with an overall score of 68.23 out of 100. The average yearly salary here is £32,855, with monthly costs for a single person estimated at £765. The average cost for a one-bedroom or studio flat is £606 per month.
Gloucester ranks second with an overall score of 55.31 out of 100. The average salary here is £28,904, with monthly costs for a single person estimated at £812. Graduates would pay an average of £727 for a one-bedroom or studio flat.
In third place is Stoke-on-Trent, where the average salary is £28,765 per year. Single graduates would spend an average of £523 on rent for a one-bedroom or studio flat and £812 on additional living costs, resulting in a total score of 55.12 out of 100.
Leicester ranks fourth, with a total score of 54.09 out of 100. Residents here earn an average of £28,463 per year. The rental cost for a one-bedroom or studio flat is £715 per month, with additional monthly costs for a single person estimated at £812.
In fifth place is Birmingham, where the average yearly salary is £32,778, and the average rent for a one-bedroom or studio flat is £890. Additionally, the monthly costs for a single person are estimated at £766, resulting in an overall score of 53.22 out of 100.
Portsmouth is in sixth place, with a total score of 48.62 out of 100. The average yearly salary is £32,093, the average rental cost for a one-bedroom or studio flat is £764.95, with monthly costs for a single person estimated at £812.
Derby ranks seventh with a total score of 48.29 out of 100. The average annual salary here is slightly lower at £26,602, and the average rental cost for a one-bedroom or studio flat is £764.95. Additionally, the monthly costs for a single person are estimated at £812.
Eighth on the list is Bradford, with a total score of 48.14 out of 100. The average yearly salary is £27,803, and the rental cost of a one-bedroom or studio flat is around £669.76. Additionally, the monthly costs for a single person are estimated at £812.
Lancaster ranks ninth, with a total score of 47.32 out of 100. The average yearly salary is £26,226, and the average rental cost for a one-bedroom or studio flat is £855.55. Additionally, the monthly costs for a single person are estimated at £812.
Kingston upon Hull ranks tenth, with a total score of 45.52 out of 100. The average annual salary here is £27,388, and the rental costs for a one-bedroom or studio flat are lower at just £593.51. Additionally, the monthly costs for a single person are estimated at £812.
