The Lord Mayor of Bradford will officially appoint her Lord Mayor’s Cadet on Wednesday 6 November 2024.
Cadet Flight Sergeant Shreya Patel of 44F (City of Bradford) Squadron, South & West Yorkshire Wing, Air Training Corps will receive her Lord Mayor’s Cadet badge in the Lord Mayor’s Rooms.
Shreya Patel, has shown exceptional dedication, leadership, and service to both her community and the RAF Air Cadets since joining on 3 September 2021. Throughout her time with 44F (City of Bradford) Squadron, she has continuously demonstrated her commitment to personal development and community involvement, achieving notable milestones in her cadet career.
Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Beverley Mullaney said, “I was very impressed with Cadet Flight Sergeant Shreya Patel and her dedication to the RAF Air Cadets and everything she has achieved and am sure she will display the very best of Bradford when she carries out her role with pride.”
WO Daniel Rouse, 44F (Bradford) Squadron, Air Cadets said: “Promoted to Cadet Corporal on 13 May 2022, Cadet Flight Sergeant Patel quickly rose through the ranks, reaching Cadet Sergeant on 6 January 2023 and earning her current rank of Cadet Flight Sergeant on 12 May 2023. Her leadership skills have been evident in her ability to inspire and guide her peers during numerous squadron events and activities, both within the RAF Air Cadets and the broader community.
“In all her activities, Cadet Flight Sergeant Shreya Patel has exhibited the highest standards of discipline, leadership, and service. Her ability to balance her cadet responsibilities with her commitment to community service makes her an ideal candidate for the Lord Mayor’s Cadet of Bradford.
“Cadet Flight Sergeant Shreya Patel is a remarkable young leader, and I am confident that she will continue to be a valuable asset to the RAF Air Cadets and an exemplary representative for the city of Bradford.”
