A 28-year-old man has been jailed for biting a police officer, less than a month after being sentenced for assaulting a female officer in a separate case.
Mohammed Marboosh received a 20-week suspended sentence on 30 January for punching the woman off her feet and biting her on the leg as she was arresting him for a public order offence.
The second incident happened just over two weeks later, on 16 February, when Marboosh bit a male officer’s hand as he was being arrested for an unrelated offence.
Marboosh appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court court on Tuesday 18 February, with Cleveland Police submitting a request that he be remanded. He he has now been imprisoned for 32 weeks.
