A Landlord has admitted a string of offences relating to failures to properly maintain two Bradford houses.
These include failing to “repair, maintain and clean” a HMO (house of multiple occupation) that he was responsible for.
And a court has been told that Bradford Council is planning to level more charges before him in the near future.
Hasan Kazi appeared at Bradford and

Keighley Magistrates court on Thursday morning, and pleaded guilty to nine charges relating to two houses on Easby Road – near Bradford College’s Trinity Green campus.
They included failing to comply with regulations in respect of management of housing in multiple occupations and failing to comply with a housing prohibition order.
He will be sentenced on April 16.
Kazi, of Laisteridge Lane, admitted to charges including:
On 29 February 2024 without reasonable excuse failed to comply with regulations made in respect of a house which was in multiple occupation in that you did fail without reasonable excuse in your duties to comply with the management regulations in respect of the repair, maintenance, cleanliness and good order of the said house and facilities and equipment in it.
On March 6 2024 at Bradford, knowing that a prohibition order under section 20 of the Housing Act 2004 relating to a category 1 hazard, that had become operative in relation to specified premises, namely 8 Easby Road without reasonable excuse, permitted the premises to be used in contravention of the order in that having been served with an emergency prohibition order dated 29th November 2023 did without reasonable excuse, fail to comply with the order and did use and/or permit the premises to be used in contravention of said order.
Between May 16 2024 and June 19 2024 failed to comply with an improvement notice relating to category 1 and 2 hazards, which had been served on you in that at 14 Easby Road having been served with an improvement notice dated 21st March 2024, you did fail without reasonable excuse to comply with said notice by beginning and completing the required remedial action within the timeframe specified.
He was also charged with six counts of failing to comply with a housing improvement notice relating to different flats at 8 Easby Road.
Imran Hussain, prosecuting on behalf of Bradford Council, said: “The defendant owns a number of properties in Bradford, the matters here today relate to just two.
“There are further summons from the Council in the pipeline.”
Magistrates agreed to adjourn sentencing until April 16 to allow these other charges to be put to Kazi.
