A section of a Bradford wedding venue could be converted into a takeaway if new plans are approved.
The Majestic on Manningham Lane was previously a nightclub and concert venue, going by names including Mecca, Maestro’s, Pennington’s Live and, most recently, the Town & Country Club.
The building, a short distance from Bradford City’s Valley Parade grounds, became an events and wedding venue in 2019 after a major refurbishment.
Now a planning application has been submitted to Bradford Council by Muhhamed Sohail to change the use of a small section of the Springfield Place side of the building into a hot food take away.
The application says the new business would open from 11am to midnight on weekdays, and until 3am on Saturdays.
It would create two full time and four part time jobs.
A decision on the application is expected next month.
