In an inspiring act of kindness and community spirit, a Bradford local extended a helping hand to a struggling homeless man, helping him acquire a job.
John Abbot, a homeless man struggling to survive on the streets of Bradford, caught the eye of Nasir Naqui, who runs a marketing agency. Moved by John’s situation and determined to make a difference, Nasir offered John a job that would provide him with much-needed financial stability and restore his sense of dignity and purpose.
John’s new job involves holding a plaque for a local business, directing customers to their establishment. While seemingly similar to what John had already been doing, this job offers a world of difference. For his efforts, John will be paid £12 an hour, a significant improvement that will help him rebuild his life, one step at a time.
Additionally, Nasir has committed to providing John with free meals, ensuring his basic needs are met as he transitions from life on the streets to a more stable living situation.
“This isn’t just about giving someone a job,” Nasir said. “It’s about giving someone a chance – an opportunity to get back on their feet, to feel valued, and to be a part of something. At JDXA, we believe in using our platform for good, and that means looking out for the people in our community.”
John Abbot expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, sharing that it has given him a renewed sense of hope.
“It’s not just the money,” he said. “It’s knowing that someone sees me, that someone believes I’m worth something. That means everything.”
Nasir hopes this gesture will encourage more people to extend kindness to others struggling in the community.
