Bradford West MP Naz Shah has shared her outrage on Twitter after a business in her constituency revealed the price of their energy bills had increased by nearly £40,000 in twelve months.
Ms Shah has demanded the government to take more action on the cost of living on Twitter.

Her tweet showed a huge 353.74% growth in the cost of a local business’ electricity when comparing bills from January this year and in 2021.
The business consumed 71,772.4 kWh of electricity in January 2021 and 73,286.9 kWh in the first month of this year.
In January 2021, the charge was £10,731.70 while in 2022 the price had skyrocketed to a massive £48,694.56.
Ms Shah, said: “I was sent these energy bills by a business in my constituency for almost identical electricity usage in 2021 compared to 2022.
“Businesses are on the brink of collapse and this Gov’t is sitting idly by!”
