Retrospective plans for a HMO that has six people living in an attic above a shop have been submitted to Bradford Council.
The two floors above the Hafiz Food store on Gladstone Street were divided into an eight-bedroom HMO in 2023.
The work was done without planning permission, and a retrospective application for the HMO has now been submitted by Sajid Hussain.
It is to allow the property to be used as a “property in multiple occupation for eight unrelated individuals as their main residence.”
The first floor of the property consists of two bedrooms, two kitchens and a bathroom, while the attic is divided into six bedrooms.
The retrospective application says the floors were converted into a HMO in March 2023, and that they are “rented to eight individuals.”
A decision on the application is expected later this month.Â
