A series of zebra crossings are due to be installed in Holme Wood as part of a push to make the estate safer for pedestrians.
Bradford Council has announced plans to install three crossings on Broadstone Way and one on Holme Wood Road.
The Broadstone Way crossings would be near the junctions with Horsham Road, Kesteven Road and Sterling Crescent.
The other would be on Holme Wood Road, near the junction with Broadstone Way.
A public consultation on the proposals began on Friday and will run until March 21.
The measures form part of the “Broadstone Way Active Travel Route” – a £415,000 package of Government funded work to improve walking and cycling routes on the estate.
Earlier this month a consultation began on another part of the work – the installation of road humps at the junction of Broadstone Way and several side roads.
The aim of that scheme is to create “continuous footways” and force vehicles to slow down when they get to the junctions of the busy road.
Three “priority chicanes” will also be created on Broadstone Way in a bid to tackle speeding vehicles.
