Keighley is set to come alive with music, culture and community spirit this August as Summer Sounds, a new two-day festival, arrives at Cliffe Castle Park. Taking place on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August, the event is part of the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture programme and promises an exciting mix of global sounds and homegrown talent.
The festival will feature a diverse line-up spanning soul, jazz, South Asian classical fusion, hip hop, electronic and more – celebrating the district’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant contemporary music scene.
Saturday kicks off with boundary-pushing artists like Balochi Benju legend Ustad Noor Bakhsh, genre-blending vocalist ganavya, and British Asian music pioneers Metz N Trix. DJ sets from Inder Goldfinger, SilverFinger Singh, and Manara bring high-energy sounds, while local MC S Dog adds a Keighley flavour to the mix.
Sunday’s line-up features Mercury Prize nominee Nitin Sawhney, soulful singer Poppy Ajudha, spoken-word artist Joshua Idehen, and the genre-defying TC & the Groove Family. Bradford artist Kenzo Jae joins a strong local showing, alongside Sarathy Korwar, Tawiah, Summer Pearl, MUSYS, and DJ Lubi.
Designed as a family-friendly and accessible event, day tickets are priced at £15 and weekend passes at £25, with concessions available.
Produced by Bradford 2025 in collaboration with music organisations Dialled In and Serious, Summer Sounds is more than a festival – it’s a celebration of cultural connection, artistic expression, and the power of music to bring communities together.
