Large pile of fly tipping appears on rural site between Bradford and Leeds

A huge pile of fly tipping has appeared on a rural road on the Bradford/Leeds border.

The waste has been dumped on Ned Lane, near the entrance to Black Carr Woods between Holme Wood and Pudsey.

The fly tipping was flagged up by Pudsey Councillor Simon Seary on Facebook on Wednesday afternoon. He posted images of items including a mattress, tyres and spent gas cannisters at the site, and said he would be reporting the incident to Bradford Council.

The Local Democracy Reporting Service visited the site this morning to find not only was waste still there, but it appeared to have been added to since Cllr Seary’s post.

The pile is now covered by a layer of soil and garden waste, including charred wood.

A shower head is also present on the pile.

Bradford Council has been contacted for a comment.
