London’s curry scene has once again cemented its place at the heart of British dining after a host of the capital’s restaurants were named among the UK’s Top 100 Curry Restaurants for 2026.
From Michelin-starred institutions to emerging independent venues reshaping Asian cuisine, restaurants across London and Greater London featured heavily in this year’s prestigious guide, unveiled during the Asian Catering Federation’s Annual Networking Dinner at the House of Commons.

Among the London names making the coveted list were Benares in Berkeley Square, Gymkhana, Quilon, Brigadiers, Spice Village in Tooting and Kahani in Sloane Square, alongside rising names including Laksamania in Soho, Med Salleh Kopitiam in Bayswater and iNaga in Bromley.
The annual guide, launched in 2022, celebrates restaurants that not only deliver outstanding food but also contribute to local communities, create jobs and maintain high standards across the hospitality industry.
Several venues were singled out for their innovation and impact on the dining scene. Soho’s Kasa & Kin was recognised for standing out “in the heart of London where competition is at its highest”, while Madhu’s at The Grove in Watford was praised for delivering “high-quality dining experiences within a premium setting”.
The announcement brought together leading figures from the hospitality industry, parliamentarians and international dignitaries, with awards presented by BBC news anchor Samantha Simmonds.
Guests included Sarah Olney, Liberal Democrat spokesperson for business and MP for Richmond Park, Malaysian High Commissioner Dato’ Zakri Jaafar, and Rushanara Ali, MP for Bethnal Green and Stepney.
Speaking at the event, Asian Catering Federation chair Yawar Khan praised the resilience of the industry amid rising costs and economic pressures.
“This event is about celebrating excellence across the hospitality sector and recognising chefs, restaurants and industry leaders who

continue to set the benchmark for quality, innovation and consistency across the Asian food industry in the UK,” he said.
“Despite ongoing challenges, restaurants continue to adapt, innovate and deliver exceptional dining experiences day in, day out.”
Sarah Olney also paid tribute to the contribution made by the sector to British culture and the economy.
“This is such an important industry, and you are right at the heart of British culture, leisure and hospitality in every corner of the UK,” she said.
Alongside the restaurant awards, Leylaty Events received a special honour for National Excellence in Hospitality and Events, while Glasgow restaurateur Muhammad Sultan was recognised for his contribution to charity and community work.
The full Top 100 list features restaurants from across the country, including Bradford, Newcastle, Bristol, Manchester and Wales, highlighting the growing influence and diversity of Britain’s Asian dining sector.
