Plans submitted for new industrial units off major Bradford road

A proposal to build seven new light industrial units and expand an existing business at the Victoria Works site off Rooley Lane has been lodged with Bradford Council, with developers saying the project could create new jobs and boost local enterprise.

New units could be built at a Bradford industrial site if plans submitted to Bradford Council area approved.

A planning application to construct seven light industrial units at Victoria Works on Rook Lane, just off Rooley Lane, have been submitted this week.

The plans would also see an existing tyre unit on the site expanded.

The seven units would all be part of a single building to be built on the far end of the site – directly behind the Rooley Lane Starbucks drive thru.

Submitted by Steven Finlay, the application says the development will create an extra 553 square metres of industrial space and seven jobs.

A new cycle storage area would also be created if the plans are approved.

A decision on the application is expected before the end of the year.
