Have you been feeling down in the dumps? You’re not alone. Around 60% of people report feeling unhappy at times during the lockdown. However, a new study from web design firm FastHosts has some things which are guaranteed to cheer you up.

Top of the list, according to the study, was a nice sunny day, followed by receiving a compliment, someone smiling at you and watching a sunset.

It also confirmed that Brits love our food with just under 90% saying this was important in putting a smile on their face.

To celebrate, the company has created what they call the happiest website in the world which illustrates all those things in glorious detail.

Already it has proven to be a hit. “The images on this website demonstrate the psychological findings that seeing or sharing happy images can make us feel good,” said Dennis Relojo-Howell, the founder of Psychreg. Furthermore, clicking onto the page and being exposed to these images can positively affect users’ perceived happiness, hormone levels, productivity, and stress levels.”

Commenting on the research, Michelle Stark, sales and marketing director at Fasthosts added: “With so much negativity surrounding us over the past year, it’s important to try and get a mood boost from accessible things around you. That’s why we’ve conducted this research to give you the Happiest Website Ever.
