The Fruit Works Cooperative will be holding two community planting days on the 2nd and 3rd of April to transform an old field into a thriving community orchard.

The work which is being undertaken on behalf of Bradford Council aims to create a thriving green space for the local community. They are inviting local residents along for a fun day of plannting activities spread over a number of sessions.

Anyone is welcome to attend any session, but spaces are limited. You can indicate which sessions you intend to attend on their Facebook group. Children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

You are welcome to attend any of those sessions. To help us do this safely, please use the Doodle Poll to indicate which sessions you’d like to attend. You should only select the sessions that you intend to come to, as spaces are limited. Children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.

Volunteers will be working in teams of up to six people and social distancing guidelines will be adhered to at all times.

You’ll need sensible footwear, out door clothing as well as a pair of gloves and face covering. They will be providing tools but if you have a spade, wheelbarrow or litter picker, they ask you to bring that if you can.
