Sri Lanka could’ve had it worse if it wasn’t for Dasun Shanaka’s 50 off 44 balls, but they ended up with a poor total of 129-7.
This left England with a total of 130 to chase and everything started off smoothly as openers Jason Roy and Jos Buttler put on a first wicket stand of 86, before Roy was dismissed by a superb diving catch off the bowling of Dusmantha Chameera.
