Anthony Joshua, one of the best and world known boxers of this era was all over social media as pictured emerged of him taking a tour of boxing gyms across the United States on Friday.
The former heavyweight champion added another loss to his record after losing to Oleksandr Usyk in a 12-round war which many fans believed Joshua seemed to have given up.
Last week, fans took to social media that AJ needed to change trainers in order to regain that fighting spirit he had shown before losing to Usyk and Andy Ruiz.
Many fans believe AJ is no longer the fighter he once was as his second defeat made him look like a man who wanted the fight to finish. AJ who has been with long time trainer Rob McCraken received heavy criticism from fans and the media due to in between rounds when AJ clearly needed a plan B to beat Usyk, McCraken thought otherwise by saying ‘You’re winning the fight. Just use your jab’.
By the look of AJ’s expression after the last bell rang, AJ couldn’t barely stand and sat on the stool breathing very deep which fans felt like AJ knew he had lost the fight.
The WBC champion Tyson Fury decided to put their beef on hold and even expressed on BT sport how he would love to train AJ for his next fight if he wishes to fight again. Fans were shocked and amused to see Fury offer support to another man who he plans on fighting relatively soon.
AJ did however visit some of the best trainers in the world from Eddie Reynoso, who is the trainer of the main man considered the best fighter in the world Saul Canelo Alvarez and Virgil Hunter. Virgil Hunter has trained many world champions in the past such as Mario Barrios, Amir Khan and the former pound-for-pound best fighter in the world Andre Ward.
Fans believe the best trainer for AJ right now is hall of famer Freddie Roach who trained the 8-weight division champion, Manny Pacquiao before he retied earlier this year after losing his final fight.
Despite all these claims, Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Anthony Joshua has said AJ has not split with his trainer and will continue to train with him.
Many people are quite surprised AJ has not changed trainers and still wishes to train with McCraken despite the result of his latest fight.
What seems obvious is AJ will act on his rematch clause and face Oleksandr Usyk next despite having just lost recently.
The fight is considered to take place next year and the winner is expected to fight Tyson Fury and unify the heavyweight division as the greatest heavyweight champion of the modern era.
