Belle Vue Girls’ Academy ‘thrilled’ with Ofsted report

Pupils and staff are today celebrating the publication of the latest Ofsted report that confirms that Belle Vue Girls’ Academy remains a good school.

Belle Vue Girls’ Academy is an 11-18 school situated in Heaton, Bradford and is part of the successful Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust which leads a family of thirteen primaries and four secondaries across the city. The school had a two-day section 8 Ofstead in December 2021.

Belle Vue Girls’ Academy has an excellent track record of examination success and inspectors commented on the “strong progress made by the end of Key Stage 4”.

Belle Vue Girls’ Academy continues to be a good school by Ofsted.

The report published today stated “Staff have high expectations of what pupils can achieve. Leaders have a clear vision for the curriculum that has been developed to enable pupils to succeed academically. The support provided for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities is effective.

“The school has a strong focus on the development of pupils’ character and personal qualities. The chances the school offers for pupils to take on a leadership role are just one example of this.

“On inspection, two of the school’s student anti-bullying ambassadors talked with great passion about their work making sure pupils did not feel lonely or isolated.

“There is a strong culture of safeguarding in the school. Students have faith that adults will help them solve any problems or concerns they may have. No stone is left unturned to keep pupils safe.”

“The inspection team summed it up perfectly stating that there is ‘no complacency’ at Belle Vue Girls, as together pupils and their teachers work together well to make sure every student gets the most out of their time at the Academy.

“The report is a well-deserved, credit to the hard work of the staff and students at the Academy.”
