Speaking to Asian Standard, Aweis Asghar, co-founder and director, Raising Explorers said: “I feel very honoured, privileged and quite ecstatic to represent our city and to win an award especially six years in a row. Its something that you work hard for, any award is an acknowledgment to the work myself and the team does day in day out”
“It gives you further motivation to keep working hard, raising the bar and setting an example for other people to achieve more with the students. We look, every year, to improve our services and how we deliver things”.

The after-school club was given the recognition at a time when it celebrates its 10-year anniversary.
Mr Asghar says: “It’s a perfect time, we’ve also been awarded for Education and Community by the Muslim News earlier this year and then to win this award, in this month during our anniversary makes it even more incredible. This is something to celebrate”
Speaking of the achievements and milestones Raising Explorers achieved in these 10 years, he added “We are now at a point where we operate at two different sites, we have partnerships with over 30 organisations. We have children coming over 50 schools across Bradford, we are a team now of 60 plus staff who operates seven days and tend over 260 children from across the district and we are proud to be voted Child care centre and Best Business for 2022. We have also won the Muslim award for education. We are proud of what we deliver and we can be counted on the extended number of services we now offer, which has grown over the years as well”
Raising Explorers, in July this year, was awarded the Muslim News Award for excellence in the field of education.
