Residents of Bradford district have been invited to pay their tributes to Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at numerous locations.
On Friday morning Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Martin Love was one of the first to sign the book of condolence set up in Bradford City Hall.
Similar books of condolence have been set up in all the major towns in the District.
Books of condolence opened at 11am for members of the public to pay their respects and lay flowers, and an online book of condolence has also been opened. People can leave a tribute online here: https://www.bradford.gov.uk/book-of-condolence/
The Lord Mayoralso laid flowers on behalf of the city and district in City Park.
Books of condolence are available at:
- Bradford City Hall at the foot of the Civic Staircase
- Bingley Area Office, Bingley Town Hall
- Ilkley Town Hall
- Keighley Town Hall
- Shipley Town Hall
For this weekend the books of condolence will be available between 10am and 8pm.
The books will remain open for the next few weeks and information about the times they are available will be published.
Residents wishing to lay floral tributes will also be able do so where the books of condolence are located.
A book of condolence will also be open at Bradford Cathedral between 9am and 6pm. The Cathedral will also be open for quite reflection and for people to lay floral tributes.
A national online book of condolence has been opened by Buckingham Palace at www.royal.uk
As a mark of respect, and in accordance with national protocol, flags on City Hall and civic buildings across the district will be flown at half-mast.
