Kirklees Council ask residents for name suggestions for new street in Batley

The Council is looking for name suggestions for a new street in Batley.

Kirklees Council is asking residents to suggest names for a new residential development in Batley.

The Council want help naming a street near 191 High Street/Challenge Way, Hanging Heaton, Batley, WF17 6DP.

A spokesperson for Kirklees Council, said: “In general, names should not duplicate or closely resemble existing street names in the area, nor are streets generally named after persons who are living or who have lived in the recent past.

“Preference is often given to names with local connotations. Receipt of suggestions is not normally acknowledged.”

Suggestions may be sent via post, telephone or email.
