The Library, which opens on 21 August at noon for women and later at 3pm for men, contains hundreds of books, both Islamic and non-Islamic, for all ages, tastes and attentions including fiction and non-fiction, many of which are unavailable in mainstream libraries.
The library would also have a weekly mother and baby story time sessions for toddlers and pre-schoolers, book clubs, debate clubs, activities and on demand sessions for home schooling families.
MMTQ Manager, Abdussalam Meer said “This unique initiative has been set up to educate and ignite the passion of reading in our young people. It will bring the community together through our storytelling sessions and book clubs”.
