West Yorkshire Police released an urgent appeal today to find Chloe Messenger, who was reported missing last night, Sunday 12 September.
She was last seen leaving her home in Leeds at about 5.30pm on Sunday.
West Yorkshire Police described her as white, 5ft 5ins tall with shoulder-length blonde hair.
She was believed to be wearing a dark coloured fleece and dark blue tartan trousers.
Detective Inspector James Entwistle, of Leeds District CID, said: “It is out of character for Chloe to go missing like this and we are concerned for her welfare.”
Police released an update today at 1.48pm, which outlined officers have found a body while searching for Ms Messenger.
The body was found near Tower Lane, in the Armley area of Leeds, this morning.
Formal identification is still to be completed, but Ms Messenger’s family have been informed.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and the Coroner’s Office has been notified.
