Six charged after £1m cannabis farm found

Six men have been arrested and charged following the discovery of a cannabis farm valued at just under £1million at a property in East End Park, Leeds. 

In an operation led by the Inner North West Neighbourhood Policing Team, with the support of the Inner East Neighbourhood Policing Team, a warrant was executed on Sunday (19 May) at premises on Upper Accommodation Road, Leeds. Cannabis valued at £970,200 was inside the building. 

Six men were arrested and have since been charged with production of a Class B drug. 

They are Sandel-Lucian Butara, aged 33 years, of Lawson Street, Manchester; and Andi Cjapi, aged 24 years; Ilirjan Pilo, aged 23 years; Besnik Sulovari, aged 26 years; Valter Sulovari, aged 27 years; and Emiljano Tumani, aged 29 years, all of no fixed abode. 

The six men appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court yesterday (Tuesday, 21 May) and were remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 20 June.
