Three more arrested as murder accused charged over Suhail Choudry killing

Police have arrested three more men as the investigation into the murder of Suhail Choudry intensifies.

Officers carried out overnight raids at three addresses in Keighley, detaining men aged 23, 26 and 27 in connection with the killing.

The suspects were arrested at properties on Malsis Road, Lister Street and Parson Street and remain in custody. Searches of the addresses are ongoing as detectives continue their enquiries.

The latest arrests come just a day after a 41-year-old man was formally charged over the attack.

Rashid Hussain, of Redcliffe Street, Keighley, has been charged with murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and violent disorder.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Bradford Magistrates’ Court.

Suhail Choudry, 35, died in hospital on 11 February after suffering serious injuries in an assault in Keighley on 8 February.

West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.

The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, with officers maintaining a visible presence in the area as enquiries continue.
