Three teenagers have been arrested for assaulting a schoolboy in Huddersfield town centre.
Enquiries are ongoing into the assault which took place at about 4.40pm yesterday, Wednesday 2 March, outside the Leeds Building Society when the 15-year-old victim was assaulted by a group of other teenagers not known to him.
The suspects then followed him outside McDonald’s at about 4.50pm.
A female was seen to intervene and another female was also seen to be watching the incident.
Three males aged 14, 14 and 15 have been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with what took place and remain in police custody.
Huddersfield Police would like to speak to two potential female witnesses, and anyone else who can assist, following an assault on Market Street which continued outside McDonald’s on John William Street during the later afternoon.
PC Heather Crompton of Huddersfield Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault on a lone victim which left him with facial injuries.
“We would like to speak with witnesses and particular two females who we think saw this incident.
