Fans of Zayn Malik now have the chance to enjoy the singer’s favourite takeaway dish for free after Yorkshire restaurant Prashad announced a giveaway of 1,000 complimentary portions of its famous Samosa Chaat.
The award-winning vegetarian restaurant, which has been recognised multiple times at the Asian Standard Bradford Curry Awards as Restaurant of the Year, launched the promotion after the Bradford-born star revealed the restaurant was his favourite UK takeaway.
During two Q&A sessions hosted by Banquet Records in Kingston, Zayn was asked what food he craves when returning home to Britain.
Without hesitation, the former One Direction singer replied: “There’s this place in Leeds, it’s called Prashad.”
The response prompted cheers from the audience before he added: “They do this amazing samosa chaat there, so I always get it.”
Later in the evening, when asked what he enjoys most about being back home, Zayn once again highlighted the restaurant, saying: “Prashad. I get samosa chaat from there every time I’m back, so yeah, that’s the one.”
The comments quickly caught the attention of fans after footage from the event was shared online, generating more than 500,000 views and hundreds of comments from customers eager to share their own love for the dish.

In response, Prashad owners Bobby and Minal Patel have announced they will give away 1,000 portions of their signature chaat between now and the end of July.
Customers simply need to dine in at the restaurant or order takeaway directly from Prashad and ask for “Zayn’s favourite” to claim a complimentary portion while stocks last.
Samosa chaat is one of the restaurant’s best-known dishes, combining crushed samosas with chickpeas, potatoes, yoghurt, chilli and tamarind dressing.
Head Chef Minal Patel described it as “a medley of textures, where sweet meets tangy in a way you just can’t get enough of.”
Bobby Patel added: “It’s the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for us. It’s always been our most popular dish, and clearly Zayn has great taste.”
Originally established as a deli in 1992 by Bobby’s parents, Prashad has grown into one of Yorkshire’s most celebrated Indian vegetarian restaurants, attracting diners from across the UK.
Now, thanks to one of the world’s biggest music stars, its famous Samosa Chaat is enjoying a moment in the spotlight once again.
