The last remaining tickets are up for grabs to join the Lord Mayor of Bradford as he celebrates the end of his civic year and charity fundraising.
Councillor Martin Love has had a jam-packed year raising money for Bradford Hospitals’ Charity’s BIG Neonatal Appeal. He has attended around 500 events throughout his 2022/23 year in office, and is planning to end on a high by running the Leeds Marathon with his wife, Lady Mayoress Helen Love, on 14 May to raise money for the BIG Neonatal Appeal. He will round off the year by holding a grand celebration at The Midland Hotel on 20 May.
The event will involve a lavish three-course meal, casino, auction and raffle, plus live music from The Funk Lockers and Bradford & Airedale Youth Choir.
Councillor Love will be joined by fellow councillors, prominent members of the business community, as well as former parents and supporters of Bradford’s Neonatal Unit.
“I’ve had an incredible year as Lord Mayor, attending around 500 events, and collecting countless cheques for the BIG Neonatal Appeal,” said Cllr Love. “It’s been both heart-warming and humbling to experience the generosity of the people of Bradford, who have embraced my charity appeal and donated money. I am very much looking forward to my end of year celebration, so I can personally thank everyone for their support.”
Bradford Hospitals’ Charity’s BIG Neonatal Appeal is raising money to build extra accommodation for parents who have premature and poorly babies in the Neonatal Unit. The extra rooms will enable mums and dads to stay close to their babies while they are in hospital. You can find out more about the appeal here.
