Four men arrested in multiple drug raids across Bradford

Three men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs and a man was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

Police fighting organised crime in Bradford have made arrests and seized drugs and cash after raiding multiple properties across the city.

Bradford District Police’s Operation Precision Team is continuing enquiries and questioning suspects today after executing early morning warrants in both Bradford District and elsewhere.

Officers from the Bradford Programme Precision Team and West Yorkshire Police Protective Services Crime executed six warrants in parts of Bradford including the Manningham, Chellow Heights and the Whetley Road areas.  A warrant was also executed in Oldham.

A total of three men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs and a man was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

Police also seized a large amount of Class A drugs and cash.

Programme Precision was formed to target serious and organised criminality in West Yorkshire and currently has specialist units in all five of the forces policing districts.

The teams work with local officers and wider force resources to specifically target criminal networks operating in the hearts of communities as well as their accomplices at a regional level.

DCI Andy Farrell of Bradford District Police said: “West Yorkshire Police is determined to tackle organised crime in our communities and we are progressing our enquiries today after executing a number of planned raids across the city.

“They have resulted in four arrests and Class A drugs being taken off our streets as part of a long-running investigation into drugs and firearms crime.

He added: “We look to bring all our resources to bear to break up such organized criminal activity and continue to appeal to communities to come forwards with information about offences such as drug dealing on their streets.

“Reports can be made to Bradford police on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and all intelligence is examined.”
